For years now, illegal immigration has had a significant negative impact on this country. Running an intelligence team on the Arizona/Mexico border in support of U.S. Border Patrol for over 12 years, I have seen first-hand the invasion that is happening. It got worse under Obama, significantly better under Trump (and that is when I disbanded my team because the border situation was under control) and now it is so far off the rails it is hard to even describe or comprehend. The evolution of the cartel taking control was right before our eyes as we worked down there. Initially, it was families coming for a better life. Coming to this country in the wrong way, but mostly for honorable intentions and to become a citizen. Those actions morphed over several years to people coming over for the “free” stuff, to make money to send back to Mexico, businesses set up to sell “supplies” to people to make the journey and to help them evade the U.S. Border Patrol, to coaching people on what to say when they are detained, and evolved further to include coyotes and the cartel who would help them get across, to the flat out trafficking of people, drugs, weapons and all of it now controlled by the cartel. Today our border is non-existent. And make no mistake the cartel controls the southern U.S. border. No one comes across without them. If we closed the border today, it would be TOO LATE. The number of illegals in this country is over 30 million. More than the population of each individual state except for California. They are controlled by the cartel. Many of them may be a victim of human trafficking – as a cog in the sex slave industry machine they may work for the cartel selling drugs, being a drug mule, selling weapons, an enforcer, a recruiter or any number of other “jobs”. They may be working off their debt for their passage to the U.S., a debt that will never be repaid. And this does not even scratch the surface of the terrorists who have come here and are actively recruiting, plotting and planning for our destruction. And what perhaps was brought across the border undetected that a terrorist may have wanted in the country? And not only is our safety in peril but illegal immigrants have had a devastating impact on our economy and our communities. The taxpayer funds going to house, feed, educate, and provide medical care takes priority over American citizens. To be continued.…
