Small Circle Jujitsu focuses on practical, real-world self-defense — the kind of skills that work when fear, surprise, and chaos are involved.

This training is designed for everyday people, not athletes or competitors.
We emphasize awareness, balance, leverage, and decision-making so students can escape danger, protect themselves, and get home safely.

You won’t be asked to be stronger, faster, or tougher than your attacker — only smarter and better prepared.

Instructor

Instruction is led by Tim Raftery, a nationally respected self-defense instructor known for clear, no-nonsense teaching.

  • Black belt in four martial arts
  • Founder of Seizon Jujitsu
  • U.S. Representative for Small Circle Jujitsu
  • Owner of the Center of Defensive Arts

Tim is known for stripping techniques down to what actually works under pressure — no flash, no ego, no wasted motion.

Who This Class Is For

This class is ideal for:

  • People new to self-defense
  • Survivors seeking confidence and control
  • Adults who want practical skills — not sport fighting
  • Anyone who understands that real violence doesn’t look like a movie

You do not need to be athletic, young, or experienced.

You don’t rise to the occasion.
You fall to your level of training.

This class gives you training that acknowledges fear, adrenaline, and reality — and prepares you to function anyway.
