Become a MemberThe Most Direct Way to Serve Membership is where it starts. As a Washington Guard member, you gain access to our full training calendar — monthly musters, IDPA competition shoots, tactical courses, medical training, and more — while joining a network of like-minded citizens committed to readiness and service in the Washington, MO area. Membership is open to men and women of all experience levels. You don't need a military background, a firearms collection, or any prior training. You need to show up ready to learn. Community Service ProgramsVolunteering with the Guard means serving the broader Washington, MO community — not just training inside it. Our active volunteer programs include: Wreaths Across America Join Guard members in honoring fallen service members by placing wreaths at military cemeteries. A meaningful, visible act of remembrance that connects our mission to those who sacrificed everything. Adopt-a-Senior Program We partner with local seniors to provide connection, practical assistance, and consistent community engagement. This program is one of the most personal ways to serve right here in Franklin County. First Responder Support Program The people who protect our community deserve to feel supported by it. This program delivers meals, recognition, and appreciation directly to local law enforcement and emergency responders. Washington Town & Country Fair — Parade Participation The Guard marches in Washington's annual parade as a visible reminder that civic service is alive and well in our community. A great entry point for new members and families. Funeral Processions & Fallen Officer Support When a fellow officer or service member is laid to rest, the Guard stands in honor. This is one of our most solemn commitments — showing up for the families of those who gave their lives in service.
